In the short time since Topock66 (formerly Topock Marina) re-opened, it has become the hottest new spot on the Colorado River. It was only a matter of time before the rest of the Nation heard about the “River’s best-kept secret”.

On November 12, 2014 BBQ Diva Danielle Dimovski of the Travel Channel’s BBQ Crawl paid a visit to Topock66 as part of her Route 66 and Big Money BBQ episode. During her time in Topock, Danielle taste-tested all of Topock 66’s specialties including Smoked Tri-Tip, Chicken, Pulled-Pork and the famous Topock66 Baby Back Ribs which she proclaimed to be “one of the nicest looking racks of ribs we have ever seen on the show”. She was particularly impressed by the flavor of the hand-rubbed ribs which contained “not one bit of sauce”.

Danielle also spent some time on the Colorado River with Topock’s leading Fishing Guide, Capt. Jamie. After a successful (and funny) hunt, she brought her catch of beautiful Striped Bass back to Topock66 for grilling. The “Diva” made fans of Topock66 guests and employees before heading off to Laughlin for the 2015 Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition where she had a respectable showing. She finished her taping at Topock66 with the promise to “Come back during the high season to just hang out”.

The Route 66 and Big Money BBQ episode of BBQ Crawl will air on the Travel Channel, August 19th at 9:30 a.m. ET (7:30 a.m. MT).
